RACHAEL TOWNSEND AWARD
KidSport honors, remembers, and celebrates the life of Rachael G. Townsend. Rachael passed away suddenly on October 12, 2003 after she completed the Chicago Marathon, qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Rachael was a swim instructor for two years prior to her position as Assistant Director of KidSport for five years. We will miss her smiling face, warmth, enthusiasm, superstar personality, and balanced perspective.
At the end of each summer, one KidSport staff member will be chosen by the KidSport Director and Assistant Directors to receive the Rachael Townsend Staff Award. This award will be given to the staff member who best exemplifies the overall spirit of KidSport by bringing physical education to children in a fun, non-competitive manner while demonstrating professionalism, initiative, motivation, energy, and enthusiasm toward camp participants and fellow staff members. This staff member truly stands out and embodies the very essence of the KidSport program.

LIFETIME FITNESS PROGRAM
For more than a decade, the University of Michigan U-Move Fitness Program has sponsored a Lifetime Fitness class that is held at Briarwood Mall. We would like to continue offering the class free-of-charge. In order to do this, we need donor support.
These classes are taught by energetic and experienced instructors who are determined to continue providing quality exercise opportunities to the community. Your contribution will help offset the cost of instructor training and salaries, sound equipment, music, and other equipment. Your donations also qualify for state and federal tax credits.
